12 Foot Lead Ropes / LinesOur lead ropes are made from stable braid, the preferred rope used by top natural horsemanship trainers. Our leads come standard with a leather popper at the one end and a clip of your choice spliced in at the other. We select our ropes for their action and weight as both give the rope a more lively feel and a better communication link with your horse. Our lead ropes can be custom ordered to any length.Currently we sell them in black or white stable braid. Both the eye-splice for the clip and the back-splice are double stitched with sail-maker’s twine for security. The black leather popper provides a pleasing finish to the lead end. All lead ropes can be ordered with an open eye splice and no clip. For those who like a clip,we have four options for clip types on leads. The standard hardware is a stainless steel bull clip.

22 Foot Lead Ropes Lunge Longe LinesOur 22 and 23 foot ropes are made from stable braid and come standard with a stainless ring and carabiner at one end and a black leather popper at the other end. If you would like to order one without the hardware spliced in, please let us know. Stable braid is the preferred rope used by top natural horsemanship trainers. It's weight and construction give the rope a more lively feel and a better communication link with your horse. These longer lines are useful for transitioning to liberty work and allow you to gain respect from greater distances when doing advanced ground skills. They are available in solid black or solid white with a teal tracer, identifying the rope as the real McCoy..These images are of a black 22 foot line with stainless steel ring and carabiner with a black leather popper. Options
Our lead ropes can be made to order from either lighter or heavier
weight ropes. Most will find the standard weight used to be an excellent
training tool, however, if you prefer a heavier or lighter rope, please
let us know and we will try to accomodate.
Upgrades
Color
Our lead ropes come in white stable braid as a standard color.
Solid black stable braid costs more for us to buy, but we love the black
because it doesn't show dirt like the white. Black is available at
slightly higher prices, see our pricelist.
Lead Clip / Snap
Currently we have four options for clip types
on leads. Our lead comes with a stainless steel bullclip as standard;
other options are no clip, solid brass bullclip, and solid brass or solid stainless twist/panic snap at no extra charge. We don't offer nickel plate hardware: we lived on a boat for six years and learned that if it wasn't stainless or solid brass, it wasn't worth buying.
